Welcome to the Association of Gallatin Agricultural Irrigators (AGAI) website. The mission of the association is to be the guardian and advocate of the Gallatin River system and its historically decreed water rights.

Meetings are held the last Thursday of every month at The Garden Cafe in Manhattan at 11:00 a.m.

AGAI has established the following goals:

  • AGAI will work to protect historically decreed water rights.

  • AGAI will work to stay current on local issues regarding development (e.g., ditch easements, ponds and ground water development)

  • AGAI will work to enhance/improve water conservation, "in stream" flows, and fish habitat.

  • AGAI will work on stewardship issues, weeds, erosion and water quality.

  • AGAI will identify and work to resolve critical irrigation and canal issues.
